Software Tester Experience

Job Title Software Tester - Experienced

1. Software Tester is responsible for testing of various software products developed by the Company.

2. Software Tester is responsible for developing the test plans; design, planning, execution, and reporting of all activities required to verify software conformance to defined acceptance criteria.

3. This role requires the individual to work collaboratively with the Software Development Team, Project Manager, and Test Manager to ensure that delivered solutions align to system requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. 2-4 years of experience in Selenium WebDriver and Java or python - based automation and Manual Testing.

2. Analyzing the context of software systems and applying the appropriate testing types and levels (component, integration, system, and acceptance tests).

3. Investigating methods of increasing efficiency in testing, Creating test scenario, test cases, and verifying that adequate test coverage has been applied.

4. Planning, estimating, administering, and executing Quality Assurance (QA) activities throughout the Software Development Life-cycle.

5. Preparing, reviewing and implementing High Level Project Test Strategy, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Application Test Plan, Release Test Plan and Test Scripts for software code.

Competencies

Education University degree in BSC - Computer Science, BSC - Information Technology, Engineering, Certification in software testing and any technical background.

Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge)

1. Proficiency in TestNG, Cucumber (BDD frameworks) and JUnit. Experience in REST API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

2. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) in Java.

3. Knowledge of SQL databases for validation testing.

4. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

6. Manual testing - Functional, Regression, re-testing, sanity testing, smoke, black box testing.

7. Familiar with API testing with postman tools Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.

8. Basic knowledge about Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT) for applications, APIs, and networks.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience with Cloud-based automation tools like Selenium Grid or Docker.

2. Exposure to mobile automation frameworks (Appium).
